Dear Reader,
Thank you for checking out this page.
Since you’re here now...
My guess is you’ve had some success with my products in the past and you're thinking about getting some more.
Or maybe you're new 'round here?
Either way...
Let me get straight to point.
Many moons ago...
I decided to attend a flower shower for the very first time.
And this is the product I brought to it.
It's called...
My Ready-To-Use Biochar Jar
As you can see, this Jar is very basic looking.
And while historically we've carried several sizes...
The one before you now is a Large One Gallon Jar.
And...
It may take weeks to ship!
And...
It’s Pricey!
However...
I believe making your soil (even) better than it is currently is a smart investment.
And it’s one of those investments that you can reap the rewards from for a long time.
And even though what you see is a isty, bitsy little Jar…
Looks can be deceiving.
The contents inside are expertly crafted, made in small batches, and used (in much larger quantities, of course) by farmers, professional horticulturalists, curators of some of the most famous landscapes in the country master gardeners, and beginners, too, to create strong, healthy, robust soil that stays fertile for generations (and in spite of the whims of Mother Nature).
And there’s a bunch of additional cool things about it, too.
Here’s a few:
- More plant vigor and less boring “ho hum” growth
- Might result in up to a 100% increase in plant water availability
- No stink — Actually, it’s got a nice, earthy smell.
- Loaded with prebiotics to feed beneficial nitrogen fixing soil microbes the moment it comes in contact with your native soil
- May completely eliminate soil compaction from heavy clay. (My Ready-To-Use Biochar can make a handful of your heavy clay soil feel light and feather weight.)
- Drought protection (especially if you live in area vulnerable to water bans and such — according to the journal BMC Plant Biology, my Ready-To-Use Biochar's ingredients can cut your risk of wilting by 27% due to “drought stress”)
- May work as a control mechanism against jumping worms (The Wisconsin Extension Program — the group leading the charge against jumping worms — lists biochar as a viable control mechanism for gardeners against the jumping worm invasion)
- Prevents “nutrient leaching” (the primary component in my Ready-To-Use Biochar - the biochar, silly - has been shown to reduce “nutrient leaching” by up to 69%)
- Increased soil fertility
- Might add up to 20% more MASS to your plant’s root system (that would mean your plants have easier access to water and harder to reach nutrients)
- Boost your soil’s “cation exchange” (What if re-fertilizing your soil was the exception rather than the RULE? Upping your soil’s ability to hold onto un-used plant nutrients and then send them to plants on-demand is how you make that a reality. The ingredients in my Ready-To-Use Biochar will help you do that almost immediately.)
- May result in explosive new plant growth
- Could protect you from harmful, and in some cases deadly, heavy metal build up in your soil (The Journal of Applied Surface Science found biochar binds with heavy metals, which makes them harmless to you.)
- Provides long-term soil organic matter that enables the “Soil Food Web” to almost run your entire garden on autopilot
- Acts as a “storage reservoir” for un-used plant nutrients and water
- Extends your plant roots surface hundreds of times what it actually is -- which means your plants can pluck the nutrients they need out of neighboring soil almost at will.
- Might help moderate extreme swings in soil temperature by a degree or two (which can make the difference between a garden that gets wiped out by a cold front that comes in early spring, and a garden that thrives all through the growing season)
- Stops “soil erosion” in its tracks
- Better oxygen flow into the soil — good for the beneficial soil microbes you already have; bad for “anaerobic” bacteria such as E-COLI which is found in poorly made compost
- Binds tiny little free-floating soil particles together and creates a continuous cycle of lasting soil structure
- Provides the correct type of nitrogen to your plants (Most vegetables, annuals, and grasses prefer “nitrite” while trees, shrubs, and perennials prefer “ammonium”)
- Improved “nutrient density” in the food you grow in your garden (when you test food from grocery stores for nutrient density you’ll see they typically rank in the low to medium ranges... however, you may see “refractive index” scores in the high to excellent ranges from fruits and vegetables you grow with my Ready-To-Use Biochar.)
- Could reduce (or eliminate) root rot and damping off
- Connects multiple plants from different species together in one self-sustaining network (This is kind of like having your very own “Soil Intelligence Network” on constant alert 24/7 for threats. And it gives your plants the ability to “share” nutrients with each other even if they’re not the same kind of plant.)
- May increase the strength of your soil’s own IMMUNE SYSTEM to fight off diseases (The mycorrhizal fungi in my Ready-To-Use Biochar just by themselves create “physical barriers” around, and even WITHIN, plant roots that prevent some pathogenic organisms from successfully infiltrating your plants)
- Promotes lasting soil structure and prevents your soil from turning to mud (even if it rains a lot in your neck of the woods)
- Great for turning cheap $5-dollar-a-bag top soil into your very own SUPER SOIL (that lasts a long time, too)
- WARNING: Might reduce the impact of herbicides (research from the US Department of Agriculture shows that properly made biochar —- which is exactly what you get in this Jar — can do this and this might not be what you want)
- May extend your growing season by several weeks which means more homegrown food for you to feast on
And here’s another thing to consider.
My Ready-To-Use Biochar made with the best natural and organic ingredients so you can feed your soil and run your garden on autopilot such as:
+ Mycorrhizal Fungi ...they’re SUPER COOL because they enable your plants to take in water and nutrients more efficiently so you can grow healthier, more resilient plants.
+ Worm Castings ...revitalize your soil with essential microbes and sit back and let the natural system Mother Nature created do the hard work for ya.
+ Lobster & Crab Shell Compost to help activate your soil's natural immune system so you can grow without the frustration of being overrun by weeds and diseases.
+ Kelp Meal so you can keep soil conditions in the proper range, maximize nutrient uptake, and watch your plants thrive.
+ PLUS... High Quality Premium Biochar ...The ONLY THING that can add the Long Lasting Structure to your soil.
But that’s not all.
In the beginning, I wrote how I believe how your soil is one of the best investments you could ever make.
What makes me say that?
Well, when you put my Ready-To-Use Biochar into your soil today...
It's going to be there for a while.
How long?
Not days...
Not weeks...
Not months...
Not even years.
It's going to be there for...
Generations!
Yes, I said generations.
And even that’s probably undercutting it.
In theory the biochar in your Jar can last in your soil for about 1 million years.
If you think about it, the moment you use...
You and I enter into a long term relationship.
So, you better think long and hard before using it.
Lol
Just kidding.
(But am I, though?)
What that means though is...
The biochar is going to be more effective over time at:
+ Improving water retention
+ Protecting your plants against drought and diseases and infestations
+ Balancing nutrient levels in your soil
+ Producing better tasting fruits and vegetables
+ Growing stronger, healthier plants
+ Ensuring the microbes in your soil thrive
+ Reducing or eliminating soil compaction
+ Improving soil aeration
+ And much more…
Now...
Often times people ask me:
“Pat, What kind of results should I expect?”
Well...
A lot of that depends on your circumstances.
And so I can’t really guarantee any particular kind of results for you.
But, I do know about the results some of my Clients have achieved with my Ready To Use Biochar…
Kalanso Club Member Jack uses it for trees (and drought protection):
I love it. I planted a dormant dogwood, and used a fair amount of char. Keep in mind that we've had 2 scant rainy days in 3 months or east. Not only is that tree THRIVING, but the only grass on my entire lawn that isn't brown is an 8 foot diameter circle of lush green grass that surrounds the dogwood tree. The tree isn't doing it; it has to be your product. I'm sold! I planted a new garden bed this spring, using a handful of char per plant. It's the only area where I still have color, and the grass surrounding the bed is lush. No complaints from me THANK YOU MANY TIMES OVER
Client Beverly uses it for houseplants:
Hello Pat, Happy to hear from you. The plants I used your product on did very well. They grew at a nice pace (especially my Jade) and remained healthy. As I purchased the product from you at the Flower Show, maybe in 2018 2019, I used it sparingly to make it last. It worked on everything I put it on. I found it helped my plants more than regular plant food that you add to water once a month.
Client John uses it for seedlings and drought protection:
Enjoyed talking to you guys at last spring’s Philadelphia flower Show. I got a 5 gallon bucket of your biochar and used it in all of my seedling transplants and again when planting into the garden. Even as dry as this summer was, I had a great season gardening with huge yields of mostly peppers and tomatoes.
Client Larry uses it for tomatoes as well:
Hey Pat
I just ordered one of the two remaining boxes of biochar. However, I leave for Germany on Monday. If you don't mind hanging on to it, I can swing by to pick it up once I return after 10/8. By the way, once the heat abated, my tomatoes exploded though with the short remaining growing time remaining I don't expect lots of fruit. The vines are so big now! No doubt biochar is making that huge difference.
Thanks!
-Larry
Client Phyllis uses it for her perennial garden visited by thousands of master gardeners over the years:
You know they kept asking me how I was able to make it through this hot summer…. And I just kept telling them about your biochar.
Client Donna used it against jumping worms of all things:
BTW, much success with biochar vs. Jumping worms. Again, its a process but the raised beds with the most biochar appear to be jumping worm free. Also added it to my compost bin BC it was infested. I pulled many large worms out and I haven't seen a reemergence but another contributing factor may have been heat so don't know for sure about that.....again, always a process! Thanks for the learning opportunity!"
Client Chris uses it for fruit:
Lot's of fruit on the bushes.
Gonna be crazy.
Can tell a huge difference!
Client Carlos uses it for vegetables:
We planted 8 tomato plants, some lettuce, basil and rosemary. I am happy to inform that the plants are healthy, large and seem to be growing fast and steady. I did use quality soil, added your material to it and also have been watering with fertilizer. This is something I always did (except for your product) but this year the results are impressive. So, I have to credit your product for the amazing success!!
Client Eleanor uses it for her garden beds:
Just finished reading through your website. You are a well traveled person and eager to learn; all good. Hope that having a presence at the Boston Flower Show has been beneficial. Please keep in touch and continue to get out there and push your product. I will contact you soon; I will buy the biochar for my garden beds. We both know that rich and healthy soils are the foundation to any and all successful landscape designs
Best Wishes for continued success,
Eleanor
Client Mike uses it for vegetables:
Thanks for the email! I love your product and had superb results in my garden last year. It really made a difference with the peppers and tomatoes. With this order I am planning to use it with my cannabis plants that I have growing now.
Client and “Best Garden of Boston” Finalist Christel uses it for tomatoes:
HI - This is Christel - I was in touch earlier in the season because my order of biochar never arrived and then it did arrive - I don't really even remember what happened - but I started using your biochar for the first time this summer and I wanted to tell you that I have the best looking tomato plants (so far) in the whole community garden that I'm in - I'm in Boston….
…
…
…
Someone even asked me today what I was feeding my plants to get so many healthy looking tomatoes and I just said I used your product
And while I'm blabbering on...
Let me address something else.
Coverage
The mad scientists I work with tell me we want the soil to have about 0.5%-1% biochar.
That may or may not sound like a lot to you.
But it is what it is.
And so I’ve come up with a rule of thumb I like to call My Slacker Measurement Method which tells you how much Ready-To-Use Biochar to introduce into your soil for any one planting, and that is:
One Handful Per Plant
Using My Slacker Measurement Method of One Handful Per Plant you can treat dozens of plants, both in-ground, and in containers with one Jar.
But in case that’s a little too vague for you:
Use 1/3 cups for every 1 gallon of soil...
Or...
4 cups per cubic foot of soil.
Either way...
My Ready-To-Use Biochar Jar is the perfect size for amending the soil in your small raised beds and containers...
And even your houseplants!
And many more...
The reason why is...
A Little Ready-To-Use Biochar Goes A Long Way
Anyhoo…
That’s about it.
If you feel this product is a good fit for you...
I hope you buy it.
And I hope you put it to good use in your soil.
You can do that simply by:
+ Setting the quantity to however many Jars you want
+ Clicking "Add To Cart"
+ And completing your order
And don't you worry for a second about shipping and handling.
That's on me.
So...
Hop to it my friend!
You are moments away from having low-maintenance, lasting soil in your garden!
Your Pal,
Pat White
